Progress Reports on Study Fellows
There are currently in the UK a large number of Government sponsored study fellows and postgraduate students who are studying in various UK Universities. The London Office monitors the academic progress and performance of the students by calling for the annual academic forwarded to the head education section at the Ghana High Commission. Some of these reports are forwarded to the Ghana High Commission directly by the sponsored students as a requirement for the continuous payment of their stipends and tuition fees. For obvious reasons the London Office maintains close contacts with the study fellows/scholars.

The Overseas Representative during the year paid periodic visits where applicable to some of the students and used the opportunity to interact and discuss individual problems as well as the general progress and welfare of the students.
The Office over the years have developed goodwill and mutual trust with a number of overseas/UK institutions and this has made it possible for some student problems to be resolved. The common problem has been the delay of the payment of tuition fees with the constant threats of dismissals and withdrawal of academic privileges from the affected students by their universities. It is, therefore, gratifying to note that with the constant interaction, personal assurances and discussions between the London Office/Director of Finance of various institutions in the UK and USA, it has always been possible for our study fellows whose fees are in arrears to continue their studies without the loss of their academic privileges.
